We all need a little help-ER

This is one of the reasons why I love homeschooling (sorry for the messy kitchen counter)…

My son gets the chance to help around the house as part of his daily lessons. Aside from washing all the “plastic” dishes, he’s in-charge of sorting the dirty laundry according to color and tosses them (while counting) inside the washing machine. When the clothes are dry, he removes them from the hanger or clothes’ pin. Sometimes, he also volunteers to sweep and mop the floor (yes, we allow him even if it will double our efforts of cleaning the house). What is important for us is that he knows that he can help us in his little ways and that his help is being appreciated. At the end of the day, we pray that our son would grow-up to be a person who is responsive to the call of the needy, at the same time a person who is humble to accept help from others as well.
