I attended the Superbook Bida ng Pagbabago Roadshow at Robinsons Place Manila last Sunday and I found this game extremely interesting and enjoyable for both parents and children, not to mention that it teaches great values.
The game is for competing pairs of a parent and a child. They will choose a color of handkerchief that will correspond to the color of balls that they will collect. The child will be blindfolded and asked to get as many balls (representing their color) as possible from a pool of multi colored balls. Being blindfolded, they will get the instruction from their parent as to which specific ball to get and where to get it. The pair with the most number of collected balls wins the game.
The game invokes obedience of the child to his parent; following blindly to his instruction is a virtue any child should develop for it doesn’t only show obedience but trust as well. Just like what the origin of the game’s name says:
Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Cool! I will definitely suggest this game on our next family reunion. Thanks Superbook!
